about

“I grow, nurture and harvest fresh, pesticide-free flowers during the WNY bloom season. I intentionally strive to be environmentally friendly. When needed, I source flowers from local flower friends who share in the same values”.

At the farm, it’s easy to feel nature all around you. See the unpretentious sights, hear the pretty sounds, and smell the beautiful flowers.

“I specialize in curating unique experiences. Come for an afternoon to the flower field, meet our miniature horses “Sunrise and Sunset”, book a workshop with some friends for a memorable day of fun, or take a walk out to the floral meadow for some candid photos with your photographer. We are dog-friendly!".

“Goody Girl Flower Farm became a reality from a lightbulb moment during a very low point in my career”.

Today, the flower farm is so much more than I ever expected it to become.

Here is some background on how it all happened.

First, the most asked question: "Why is the farm named Goody Girl Flower Farm?”
Here’s why…
HELLO! I’m Marina Goody!

While I was working in corporate America in 2017, my husband and I purchased a horse farm as an investment property. We kept two of the miniature horses that were to go to auction. My co-workers would sometimes ask ‘How’s the Goody Farm?”

During the pandemic in 2020, I lost my corporate job. I did a LOT of thinking about what I wanted to do next… I always said that if I could have a dream job, it would be to let me loose in a floral shop where I could have all the flowers I could ever dream of and be able to create all day long”.

This “lightbulb moment” is when I realized that I could do a combination of the two at the farm! I could plant my own pesticide-free flowers on the land. What if I sold the flowers? I knew I could wrap them nicely so the presentation was beautiful. That was it.

After dreaming, and tossing around a crazy idea of being a business owner, I went for it (completeley scared) and enrolled in an online business course. I learned so much! This is also where I discovered my love of teaching floral workshops! I never knew what I was meant to do until this unplanned adventure actually happened. "When I know I've extended some of my talents to others who want to learn, it’s the best feeling.”

Over the winter and spring of 2020-2021, we remodeled one of the horse farm’s boarding facilities into a teaching studio/workshop so floral workshops could become a reality. The land has been planted with perennials, annual flowers, larger patches of flower fields for photography sessions, and dozens of lavender plants in different varieties. They are situated on 15 acres in Pendleton, New York.

“There’s something about capturing a feeling and translating it into floral beauty. It starts when you explain to me what you’re looking for. With a few adjectives such as color, style & occasion, I get this feeling of excitement to begin (translating) creating something unique, with my signature on it”.

The farm and property

“The former horse farm/boarding facility on the property was converted into our teaching studio and workshop in January 2021. Walk in the door and relax with us! Stay a moment longer here and view the short film of the indoor and outdoor spaces and flower fields”.
